You need a computer on the same Wi-Fi as your Fire TV. You only do this once, and uninstalling puts everything back.
- On your Fire TV, open Settings › My Fire TV › About and press OK on your device name 7 times. Then turn on Developer Options › ADB debugging.
- Note the IP address under About › Network.
- Run the installer on your computer, then accept Allow USB debugging? on your TV.Paste into PowerShell.

Fire OS always sends the Home button to Amazon's screen first. FireFrontend brings itself back, but Fire OS holds app switches for about five seconds, so you'll briefly see Amazon's screen.
